Choices provides an alternative educational choice for students and parents. San Juan Choices Charter School accepts students from all surrounding school districts.
Education for the 21st century requires that students read, write, compute and solve problems with proficiency. Students must experience success, develop interest, abilities and talents. To ensure success at Choices Charter School students must be GREAT and meet the Expected School Wide Learning Results (ESLR’s):

School Accountability Report Card
The Accountability Report Card includes information about our school hours, enrollment, class size, test scores, parent survey results, school staff, teacher salaries and qualifications, student demographics, attendance rates, school honors, community partners, school facilities, and planned improvements.

Parent Questionnaire
If you can answer yes to the following questions, your student is a likely candidate for an Independent Study Program.
- Can your student work alone?
- Will there be an appropriate place and space available for your student to study?
- Is your student able to work in an unstructured environment?
- Are you aware of the support you must give as a parent if your student is under 18?
- Does your student have the necessary study and organizational skills to work independently?
- Are you able to give the time necessary to check and monitor student work?
- Is your student capable of reading at the required grade level (5th grade or above) to complete the assigned work?
- Does your student have ways to socialize and meet peers to grow socially at a normal level?
- Is your student responsible enough to make any necessary appointments with the assigned teacher?
- A classroom option is always available. Has your student been made aware of this?
